MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

Negros Occidental, with its abundant natural, economic, and human resources has positioned itself to be a hub of opportunities, investment, culture, and tourism.

The time is once again ripe for the sugar bowl of the Philippines to be rediscovered and showcase that it is more than just sugar and that Negros Occidental offers diverse opportunities for everyone.

With its 3 million population and 792,607 hectares of land area, the province offers countless opportunities for business expansion and development. In terms of industry presence, over 94% are in the service sectors, which translates to strong local support for manpower and logistical needs.

Negros Occidental is accessible by air and sea and has a network of roads that will bring you to any point on the island.

Negros Occidental, having a highly urbanized capital, 12 component cities, and 19 municipalities, is intent on making the island business and investment friendly. It recognizes that the private sector is the engine that drives innovation and economic growth.

The Local Government Units are the primary leaders in our local economic development, indispensable partners in our strategic programs and projects, and key players in making sure that investments will thrive and flourish.

While it is known that the Negrense lifestyle is traditionally laid-back, Negros Occidental is highly progressive. With a strong real estate development, a wide range of recreational areas such as beaches, mountain resorts, heritage sites, exceptional festivals, and outstanding culinary offerings, Negros Occidental is truly the land of sweet surprises.

As we look towards the future, let us all work together to make Negros Occidental a thriving, sustainable, and inclusive community for everyone, and an exemplar of progress and innovation.

To the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry, thank you for your dedication and commitment to our shared goal for the progress and development of Negros Occidental.

God bless Negros Occidental!

Abanse Negrense!

The future we aspire to is already unfolding

and we hope you’ve been part of the positive change we all envisioned. Let’s amplify our impact together in shaping a brighter tomorrow!
